What is a stoker?
For the purposes of these web pages a stoker is any one who is or ever was a Marine Engineering Mechanic, Technician or Artificer of any rank in the Canadian Navy or a Diesel Mechanic and or Marine Engineering Systems Operator of any rank in the Naval Reserve. For a more colorful definition please read The Men Who Sail Below.

Can I be the Chief of the Watch?
